Seedless Recovery allows you to back up a wallet by linking it to something you can easily memorize, such as your face or the cover of your favorite book, rather than to a 12- or 24-word phrase. During setup, you scan the object once. The app turns that scan into either (a) a privacy-preserving feature vector proved with ZKML or (b) a cryptographic hash produced by a fuzzy extractor. Only a hash (or proof) is submitted on-chain, so you rescan the same object later to unlock your account.

Yes. Seedless Recovery is designed to complement traditional seed-phrase backups, not replace them. You can keep using your existing phrase (or additional factors such as hardware wallets or social recovery) and add Seedless Recovery as another safety net.

No raw pictures or biometric data ever leave your device or appear on-chain. The system stores only a hashed or zero-knowledge-proved representation from which you cannot recover the original image. See “Seedless Recovery with Bionetta ZKML” and “Seedless Recovery with Fuzzy Extractors”.

Yes. The same idea applies to Taproot wallets: an additional, time-locked recovery path is embedded in the script tree, enabling you to spend funds with a key derived from the object’s hash if the standard key is lost. See “Seedless Recovery for Bitcoin” for the overview.
